This page is a template. It contains some standardized, often used text, which can be transcluded inside other pages.

As this template is widely used in our wiki, it may be protected in which case only staff members can change it. Use the discussion page to propose enhancements or fixes, or to voice your opinion.

Use this template to encode of "|" within template parameters, because the pipe character is normally interpreted as a separator. This template is necessary if the character is used in wiki table syntax, or if the parameter is automatically wiki-linked and a pipe is used to specify a different link text from the target page name. In other cases it is better to use the decoded HTML entity | which is displayed as a pipe symbol instead of this template.
